A leading clinical physiotherapist renowned for her expert diagnostic skills and successful problem-solving strategies for complex pain.
Lorraine is a senior physiotherapist and clinic director at Physiofusion, holding a first class Masters degree in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy. She is also a certified Stott Pilates Instructor.
With twenty years of postgraduate experience in the field of physiotherapy, Lorraine has developed an expert set of diagnostic and manual ‘hands-on’ skills for treating acute and chronic pain. Her strength as a physiotherapist lies in her ability to effect change in a patient’s quality of life from the first visit, with the reassurance of an accurate diagnosis and a solid plan for recovery from the outset. It is her understanding of the pathophysiology of the pain system (how the body may react and respond to pain) that underpins her unique treatment style. Her enthusiasm to show patients how they can best help themselves has led to her popularity and reputation as a patient focused physiotherapist.
Lorraine has worked as a sports physiotherapist at the London Olympic Games (2012) and with the International Medical Department of the FAI, travelling to European competition at U17 and U19 level as well as the Algarve Cup with the Senior Women’s International squad. She has also worked as a rugby pitch-side physiotherapist for ten years with UCC, UCD and St Mary’s RFC and she was invited to provide sports massage therapy for the Springboks during an Autumn tour to Ireland.
Renowned for her discrete and personal approach to patient care, Lorraine’s established professional relationships with medical colleagues, GPs and Consultants across Dublin are key components of her successful patient outcomes.
